In a nutshell
It’s all about Doraemon, the anime robotic cat. (For those of you who are unfamiliar with Doraemon, spending five minutes on Wikipedia before attending is helpful https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doraemon). There is a wide variety of art, including paintings, video and sculptures, made by famous Japanese artists who were asked to create their own original Doraemon.
The Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi Hills Mori Tower - a large space well suited to displaying the variety of pieces in the exhibition.

The exhibition information is available in English but the videos and manga are in Japanese without translation.
This is a fun, colorful exhibition that taps into the love and nostalgia for Doraemon.
Doraemon fans (duh!) of all ages - from young children to reminiscent adults. For those unfamiliar, it is a great window into Japanese culture and different artists’ takes on this elevated fan art.
